I've never been to church before / I haven't been to church for ages
First of all, it doesn't matter, you will be welcome here at any of our services.
We would like to think you will be greeted and acknowledged and made to feel comfortable by our Welcomers and everyone else. We are a friendly church and you can quickly be part of our big church family. If you are still uncertain, you might first like to come along to our 11 am service on the first Sunday in the month, which is not so formal and is not a Eucharist service. This is especially good if you have children as they can join in the service.
We have a Sunday School called Jesus and Me (J.A.M) which is held at 11 am in our Link room on all the Sundays except the first Sunday in the Month or special services such as Mothering Sunday. The children have fun, learn about Jesus, do activities and come into church to join the adults for the last hymn and tell us what they have been doing.
We have different services throughout the week and throughout the year. We have three different Sunday services and you can read about these on our Home Page. If you don't want to sing hymns, then try our said services on a Sunday at 8.15 am or a Thursday at 10 am. If you enjoy singing and hearing the choir sing and the organ play, our Sunday 11 am service or our Choral Evensong on a Sunday at 6.30 pm might be the service for you. We also have a healing service at 6.30 pm on the first Sunday in the month, if there is someone for whom you would like us to pray.
